In an interview with DIRE news agency Della Vedova stressed that the “economic success” and the status of “world power” of the United States turned out to be a result of its capacity to help other countries, a distinctive sign of American foreign policy “at least since World War Two”.
SUU KYI TO BURMESE MIGRANTS: COME BACK HOME
Aung San Suu Kyi, former Nobel Prize and State Councilor of Myanmar, attended an international conference in Rome on women and migrants together with the Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni. “Myanmar is a land of immigrants and emigrants” she said. “It is our responsibility to improve their living conditions, and allow those who moved to foreign countries to come back home”. Suu Kyi appealed to Burmese migrants: “We are waiting for you with open arms; Be grateful to the States that have welcomed you”.
