Bene per l’Italia ai Golden Globe 2018: protagonista con Guadagnino, Virzì e Sorrentino

A "The Shape of Water", "The Post"e "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" il maggior numero di candidature

ROMA – Bel colpo per l’Italia ai Golden Globe 2018. Sono state annunciate da Alfre Woodard, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Bell e Sharon Stone a Los Angeles le candidature per la 75esima edizione della manifestazione che si terrà il prossimo 7 gennaio al Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Tre i nomi italiani per un totale di 5 candidature. Il primo è “Chiamami col tuo nome” di Luca Guadagnino che concorre per ben tre statuette: miglior film drammatico, migliore interprete protagonista (Timothe’e Chalamet) e migliore attore non protagonista (Armie Hammer).

A seguire Paolo Virzì e il suo “Ella & John – The Leasure seeker”: Helen Mirren si batterà per vincere il riconoscimento come migliore attrice protagonista. Terzo ma non ultimo “The Young Pope” di Paolo Sorrentino, con la candidatura come migliore attore per Jude Law.

“Chiamami col tuo nome”, la strada verso l’Oscar

Presentato lo scorso gennaio al Sundance per arrivare a febbraio 2017 al Festival di Berlino, “Chiamami col tuo nome” ha riscosso un grande successo a livello internazionale, tanto da arrivare ad essere considerato uno dei possibili vincitori degli Oscar 2018. E la candidatura ai Golden Globe sembrerebbe confermare questa ipotesi, avendo spesso la vittoria di questo premio una funzione anticipatrice rispetto a ciò che accadrà circa un mese dopo nella notte degli Academy.

In Italia però dovremo attendere per poter giudicare quest’opera che uscirà nel nostro paese il 25 gennaio. Tratto dal romanzo omonimo di Andrè Aciman e ambientato nella provincia di Crema, il film racconta l’amore omossessuale di un adolescente nell’estate del 1983. 

Golden Globe, tutti i candidati

La classifica dei film con maggiori candidature è guidata dal regista Guillermo del Toro e il suo “The Shape of Water”. Il film fantasy che ha trionfato alla 74ª Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica di Venezia è in corsa per ben 7 statuette. Seguono con 6 candidature ciascuno “The Post” di Steven Spielberg e “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” di Martin McDonagh.
